In Sappada there some particularly interesting places to visit for their historical and natural characteristics.
- Source of the Piave. These can be reached by car from the top end of Sappada, known as Cima Sappada, along the valley of Val Sesis. The spring where this important historic river is born lies at the feet of the mountain Peralba.
- Park of Alpine Fauna. This park is situated near the centre of village in the hamlet of Muhlbach. Here you will be able to see wild deer.
Cascatelle. These waterfalls are also located in the hamlet of Muhlbach, where a path follows the water current along the mountain side, giving the opportunity to see many small waterfalls which lead to a spectacular fall at the end of the path.
- Orrido dell’Aquatona. This a deep gorge escavated by the force of the water that runs through the Rio named Acquatona, which then joins the River Piave after falling 50 metres. The gorge can be found at the exit to the village on the main road to S. Stefano di Cadore.
- Ethnic Museum. A collection of objects and written documents on display that recall the daily life and culture of Sappada as it was many years ago. The museum is situated in the hamlet of Bach and is open during the summer season.

The museum is in Borgata Mülbach, near the start of the Cascatelle path. Open in summer with free entrance. - Casa-museo della civilta contadina. This house is built of wood in the architectural style of the village and is preserved in perfect condition on the inside as well. Being in the house gives a glimpse of what life would have been like at the time living as a local in the village. This house is found is the hamlet of Cretta and again is open during the summer season.
- S. Margherita. This is the local parish church, built in typical Baroque style during 1779 containing several alfresco’s of particular value. The church is situated in the hamlet of Granvilla.
-
Regina Pacis. A modern sanctuary built in the 70’s as per a vote conducted in the Second World War. Regina Pacis can be found in the hamlet of Soravia.
- S.Osvaldo. This is the little church of Cima Sappada, built in 1732 and recently restored. It is very alpine in style and well worth a visit inside.
- Calvario. From a path that begins its ascent in Muhlbach and along its route takes you past 13 small chapels and a small church representing the 14 stations of carrying the cross by Jesus Christ.
